How can you tell about picking out a horse when you bring a dog along and they're all scared of your dog? How are you supposed to be able to pick out the horse that you think then might be friendly?

You know your choice of horse. I hate to say it to me is a bad choice because of the fact he probably was a stallion of a herd and they've got a lot of mean streak in them. It's going to take you a lot to go ahead and tame him down and hopefully he isn't a biter. I would have got a mare

That's what our problem is is. We keep on breathing and that's why a lot of the horses ended up in slaughter and the kill buyers buy them and then they get shipped over to Canada and all those rotten places that go ahead and kill them for meat to quit producing more horses and burrows

She has such a quiet calm demenor, and she seems so positive her ears are almost always forward unless shes listening ,she just seems so easy going, and curios and wants to please. I cant have a horse currently 😢 but, i just have a question, how easy was she to train? She is gorgeous, you dont even see you giving her ques shes going to make someone very happy

I have no issue that you chose a different horse. I do have an issue if the BLM doesnt get your prior pick medical attention immediately. There's no excuse that makes it okay for them to neglect that mare's facial condition becUse they have her in their care! I'm in the dental field and even in horses there is chance of sepsis and pain would lead to other issues like losing weight, etc. They are responsible to put her in a squeeze chute, sedate her, take x-rays, give her antibiotics, float her teeth, or even extract a bad tooth. Just tossing her out to live with it without knowing is straight up neglect, so thqt is never a solutiin for a horse they have captured and in their custody and care, period. I have no respect for any of them that would allow that neglect.

What a lovely horse and well trained with love from YOU. Wonder what brand saddle goes with her? I rescued a Haflinger cross with a very short back. Appreciate any info,you can give me. Beautiful teamwork to get to such a smooth place. I am sending my best intentions for her to find a loving and careful and caring home where she can live a fulfilling life! If only I could be the one to provide it for her but alas, I'm still living in the big city )': <3 She really strikes me as one who loves to have a purpose and something to do and / or work towards. And those archery moments in the video were so impressive, let alone her casually cantering around the other horse munching on grass by the side of the arena! So cool and inspiring, all around. Great job, both of you!!
